As the lead designer for the Hootsuite Innovation Lab, I was tasked with designing the experience and interface for a Hootsuite stand-alone product, to be called Hootsuite Suggestions. The idea was a news-feed app for iOS and Android that uses your interests to compile a daily feed of articles that can then be easily shared on your social media channels.
While the dev team worked on an algorithm to pull news articles from thousands of sources, I began a Lean UX process for the app UX. I designed the app's onboarding screens, user-experience flows, wireframes and final user interface. I also designed materials for the go-to-market campaign, including App Store graphics, ads and sales conversion webpages. The result is an smart app that quickly replaced our users' other news sources for it's speed, ease-of-use and the quality of articles it returned.
